The upcoming Google Pixel Watch 2 is set to bring some notable enhancements. One significant addition is the inclusion of ultra-wideband (UWB) technology, powered by the NXP SR100T UWB module.

The Pixel Watch 2 is expected to house a slightly larger battery, and while its display remains a 1.2-inch round OLED with 384 x 384 resolution, it now comes from Samsung Display instead of the previous BOE panel. It may also come with improved brightness or new energy-saving features.

According to the information via AndroidAuthority, the watch will debut with Wear OS 4 based on Android 13, offering dynamic theming and seamless updates. It will be available in LTE (codenamed “Eos”) and Wi-Fi (codenamed “Aurora”) variants, with possible availability in India. Additionally, a stunning animation will grace demo units, showcasing the watch’s allure in Material style.

As of now, more features have not been revealed but possible applications include precise detection and unlocking of car doors via digital car keys.
