Rumor: Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra might adopt flat screen
Samsung appears to be making changes in its next Ultra flagship smartphone. Dimensions data shared by a reputed tipster hints at some major changes in the form factor of the device. It can also be speculated that the Galaxy S24 Ultra might adopt a flat screen, ditching the curved one.
Apple makes iPhone with flat screens, ensuring enhanced durability and brighter panel. The next Pixel flagship could also introduce a flat screen, ditching the curved display seen in the Pixel 7 Pro. Samsung could also be joining the camp by killing the curved screen strategy.
The height and width of the Galaxy S24 Ultra could be 162.3mm and 79mm, respectively. Compared to the width of the Galaxy S23 Ultra, has increased by 0.9mm. Meanwhile, Ice notes that there is no change in the size of the S24 Ultra’s screen. Then what it means?
The final calculation result is that the left and right bezels (including the thickness of the middle frame) of the S24 Ultra have reached 3.42mm, while the value of the S23 Ultra is 2.3mm. For sure, the company might not bring such awkward bezels with its most premium smartphone.
The width of 79mm has already determined that this phone cannot be comfortable. The width of the iPhone 14 Pro Max is 77.xmm, while the width of the iPhone 15 Pro Max is 76.xmm, the iPhone is reducing the width, and Samsung is increasing the width.😂
