Samsung has already rolled out a big-sized August 2023 software update to the Galaxy S23 series. Now, the company is rolling out a new Camera Assistant app update, which allows Galaxy S23 smartphone users to get a new 2x zoom mode into the native Camera.
The Camera Assistant is getting updated to version 1.1.03.1 via Galaxy Store. Exclusively for the Galaxy S23 users, it brings the ability to apply a new 2x zoom camera mode. The company notes that the advanced intelligence makes the quality as good as an optical lens.

Once installed, you will find a newly added option in the Camera Assistant app on your Galaxy S23 device. When you enable it, the native camera application will add a 2x zoom option. The zoom is cropped from the high-resolution sensor, so it’s as good as an optical lens.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6 design are revealed through high-res images. Both phones are yet to go official, while an Australian retailer accidentally listed extensive galleries of all color variants online.
The upcoming foldable phones adopted design ideas from the Galaxy S24 series. It can be assumed that the edges will be “straight cut” in the future as they are significantly less rounded than before.
