Samsung confirms all Galaxy Tablets getting One UI 5.1.1 update

Samsung’s newly released Galaxy Tab S9 tablets introduce several useful features. Today, Samsung confirmed that it is sharing select new features from the Tab S9 series with older flagship and budget tablets as part of its One UI 5.1.1 update rollout.

According to Samsung, the Galaxy Tab S8, Tab S8+, Tab S8 Ultra, Tab S7, Tab S7+, Tab S7 FE, Tab S6 Lite, Tab A8, Tab A7 Lite, Tab Active 3, and Tab Active 4 Pro users are also set to enjoy several new user-centric features as part of the One UI 5.1.1 update.

The multitasking experience for foldables and tablets is set to improve. Two-handed drag and drop is also supported on your foldable and tablet’s main screen. The enhanced Taskbar now enables lightning-fast task switching with access to up to four recent apps.

One UI 6

Samsung has also started testing the Android 14-based One UI 6 Beta on the Galaxy S23 series. The program is expected to be expanded to more markets this month, while older flagship phones would join the Beta sometime in September.
