Android 14 Beta 5.1 Rolled Out With 4 Remaining Bug Fixes

Google yesterday rolled out Android 14 Beta 5.1 to Pixel consumers. The company noted in its last announcement that Beta 5 is the final build and the next will be Stable release. Meanwhile, Pixel users who signed in in Beta got amazed to see this incremental build.

According to the info, Android 14 Beta 5.1 brings fixes to 4 issues. The changelog mentions fixes for SIM card detection failure if Fixed Dialing Number is enabled. Moreover, it addresses the connectivity interruptions problem on 5G standalone networks.

Google has temporarily disabled the feather-styled live wallpaper on Pixel Fold due to performance issues. However, the company confirmed that the live wallpaper version will come back post getting a solution from the development team.

Changelog:

  1. Fixed an issue that caused the system to stop detecting a SIM card if Fixed Dialing Number (FDN) features were enabled.
  2. Fixed an issue that caused connectivity interruptions for devices with carriers using 5G standalone (SA) mode.
  3. Fixed an issue for some devices where a blank home screen displayed after unlocking the device.
  4. Fixed a performance issue by temporarily disabling feather-styled live wallpaper on Pixel Fold. The live wallpaper version will be re-enabled after the other underlying issues are fixed.
