Bixby Voice Creator: A new AI app launched by Samsung

Samsung has introduced a new AI app for its Galaxy devices named – Bixby Voice Creator. This app lets users create their own synthetic voice on their phones. It is a feature of Bixby, Samsung’s intelligent assistant.

Bixby Voice Creator allows users to record 18 sentences within the app, which are then processed and used to generate a custom text-to-speech voice. This voice can be used in selected applications that support text-to-speech, such as Bixby Text Call. With Bixby text call, users can make phone calls using their synthetic voice instead of the standard preset voice.

The app is designed with privacy in mind, as the custom voice is created and stored entirely on the device, and no data is sent to the server.

To use the app, users need to grant permission for the microphone and notification access. The microphone permission is needed to record the sentences and generate the voice, while the notification permission is needed to inform users when the voice is ready.

As it is an initial release so it may take some time to make it available for all eligible Galaxy devices. It is available on Galaxy Store in limited countries. You can also download it through the third-party source link mentioned here.
