Samsung Galaxy S22 receives 2.3GB August 2023 update in the US

Samsung has started pushing a massive size update with the August 2023 security patch for the Galaxy S22 series in the US. The update installs the latest Android security patch to improve system security.

August 2023 security update is rolling out for locked Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 Plus, and Galaxy S22 Ultra smartphones on several network carriers in the US. However, this update is already available in countries of Europe and Latin America.

• Galaxy S22 Plus – S906USQU3CWGI
• Galaxy S22 Ultra – S908USQU3CWGI

This update comes with an installation package size of around 2.3GB, which is much larger than the normal security update. Although the changelog does not contain any new features or changes but we can expect that new features to be added with this update as its size is big.

The August 2023 security patch includes fixes for over 70 security vulnerabilities found in the previous version of the software. You can install the latest update through Settings >> Software update >> Download and install.
