Fresh WhatsApp update adds new dynamic elements to chat screen

WhatsApp is continuously working to improve the user experience. Yesterday’s Beta release brought a new Settings UI, while some WhatsApp Beta testers also noticed new dynamic elements in the chat screen.

WABetaInfo reports that WhatsApp Beta for Android 2.23.18.8 version introduces new dynamic elements. If you are on Beta, you can check the newly added elements by tapping the microphone button on the chat screen.

In addition, WhatsApp Beta also added new messages within conversations when specific call events take place. For instance, when a call is missed or it ends, the event in the chat has been redesigned to include more details.

Notably, it could consist of the call duration or reasons for the missed call, such as when a call is silenced due to the “Do Not Disturb” setting or “Silence Unknown Callers”, or a simple unanswered call.
