Qualcomm is expected to launch the next-gen Snapdragon 8 series chipset in October this year. Meanwhile, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 with notable performance boost benchmarked on Geekbench, revealing high multi-core score.

At present, there have been many rumors about Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Recently, a Nubia smartphone prototype equipped with this chip model NX769J was spotted on Geekbench, which achieved a single-core score of 1596 and a multi-core test score is 5977 points.

This score is lower than that of the previous Galaxy S24+, which is also equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy chipset. The Galaxy S24+ has a single-core score of 2233 points and a multi-core score of 6661 points.

Meanwhile, Weibo tipster Digital Chat Station claimed that this may be an initial score, and the final version may be different. Besides, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is said to adopt a new “1+5+2” architecture instead of the “1+2+2+3” setup.

This new architecture will contain a more powerful performance core. At higher frequencies, TSMC’s N4P process will be used. However, there have been rumors before that Qualcomm’s price for Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is higher than expected, and it is expected to break through the $200 mark.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 coming late 2023
