Samsung is strongly reviewing a plan to use the Exynos 2400 chipset at a high rate in the Galaxy S24 series in global markets including Europe and South Korea. However, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 3rd generation is expected to be used in models that do not have Exynos.

Earlier, there were many views that the return of the Exynos 2400 to the Galaxy S series was premature. However, the ambiance was reversed as the Exynos 2400’s performance evaluation score leaked during the development stage was excellent.

As per the report, Exynos 2400 is equipped with a Deca core (10 CPU cores) architecture. Besides, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 appears to be bringing an octa-core type with 8 CPU cores.

Additionally, the GPU of Exynos 2400 is expected to be equipped with the Eclipse 940, which has more than doubled the processing speed of the previous work in cooperation with AMD.

The support of Samsung Foundry is also a factor leading the revival of Exynos. Exynos 2400 is made with Samsung Foundry’s 4nm process. It is known that the 4nm yield has recently dramatically improved to 75%.

The S23 series released this year has all of Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy chipset globally. Exynos’ return is expected to help reduce Samsung’s AP purchase costs while also helping the Galaxy S24’s cost competitiveness.
