Google is preparing to launch its Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro soon, but it might come with a hefty price tag. However, new leaks suggest that the Pixel 8 series will have a significant price increase in Europe compared to the previous generation.

According to Dealabs, the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro will cost much more than their predecessors in Europe. The Pixel 8 will have a starting price of €799 for the 128GB variant, which is €150 more than the Pixel 7. The Pixel 8 Pro will have a starting price of €1,099 for the same storage capacity, which is €200 more than the Pixel 7 Pro. The prices will vary depending on the storage options.

Last week, The Tech Outlook also reported similar prices but even higher. It is not clear if the US market will experience the same price increase, as it often differs from other regions. For instance, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 maintained its $999 price in the US, while it rose in other countries.

The Pixel 8 series will be powered by Google’s own Tensor processor, which was introduced in 2021 with the Pixel 7. The new phones will also have exclusive colors on the Google Store, such as “Porcelain” and “Sky” for the Pro variant.
