Samsung and Qualcomm Unleash Groundbreaking 5G Powerhouse: Uplink Speeds
Samsung and Qualcomm developed a new technology to improve 5G performance and flexibility. Both of the companies succeeded in the execution of simultaneous 5G two uplink and four downlink carrier aggregation for the FDD (frequency division duplexing) spectrum for the first time in the world.
The test was completed using a mobile phone form-factor test device powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X75 5G Modem-RF System and Samsung’s 5G dual-band and tri-band radios supporting advanced carrier aggregation technology.

Qualcomm disclosed that Snapdragon X75 achieved 200Mbps uplink peak speeds with just 35Mhz of 5G spectrum. The system also executed 1.3Gbps downlink peak speeds with just 75MHz of 5G spectrum. Notably, Snapdragon X75 is currently sampling to customers, with launch expected in the second half.
