Samsung Galaxy S21 FE grabs a 1.3 GB software update in Europe

Samsung is releasing a new update for the Galaxy S21 FE smartphone, which arrives with a massive installtion package size of around 1.3 GB. The update is currently rolling out in Europe and could expand to more countries soon.

The latest update brings an August 2023 security update to improve system security and stability by fixing some issues. As the package size of this update is much bigger than a regular security patch, it is expected to add new features and enhancements. However, the changelog does not contain any new feature or change.

Furthermore, the new firmware updates several stock apps to the latest version, such as Samsung Notes Adds-ons, Galaxy Wearable, Kide, Health, SmartThings, Members, Wallet, Calculator, Smart Switch, and Voice Recorder.

The new update for the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE smartphone can be identified via One UI build version G990BXXU6EWH5. You can get the update through Settings >> Software Update >> Download and install.
