Latest Xiaomi Smartphone Packs Samsung’s 200MP Camera for Incredible Photography

Another Xiaomi smartphone equipped with Samsung’s 200-megapixel camera is all set to make its official debut in the market. Recently, Xiaomi confirmed that the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus is packed with a 200-megapixel Samsung HP3 camera sensor.

In the near future, the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus will enter the Chinese market, with a global launch expected later. Apart from a 200-megapixel ISOCELL HP3 camera by Samsung, the upcoming Redmi handset equips a MediaTek chipset.

Last June, the South Korean tech giant released the 200MP ISOCELL HP3 image sensor with the industry’s smallest 0.56-micrometer (μm)-pixels. With a 12 percent smaller pixel size than the predecessor’s 0.64μm, the ISOCELL HP3 packs 200 million pixels in a 1/1.4” optical format.

The HP3 camera comes with a Super QPD auto-focusing solution, meaning that all of the sensor’s pixels are equipped with auto-focusing capabilities. Besides, Super QPD uses a single lens over four adjacent pixels to detect the phase differences in both horizontal and vertical directions. Read more
