Google Files app helps you to manage your files and free up space on your Android devices. At the moment, Google is adding a Smart Search feature option to the Files app.

The new feature automatically detects the file type and extension of your query and shows you the relevant results. For example, if you search for “apk”, the app will list all the files with apk or apks extensions in your storage. This feature will save you time and hassle when you need to access a specific file quickly.

Moreover, the Setting UI of the app has also been improved. The settings are now better categorized and organized, making it easier to navigate and adjust your preferences. You can also access the new Document feature from the Settings menu, which will allow you to store and access your important documents in a secure and convenient way.

The app will automatically scan your storage to find documents and list them in a separate section. The “Smart Search” feature is active by default for most users. If it is disabled then you can easily enable it.
