Revamped Video Player for Galaxy S23: Samsung’s One UI 6 Beta 3 takes it to the Next Level!

Samsung today dropped the third One UI 6 Beta update for the Galaxy S23 series in the US. The One UI 6 Beta 3 comes with various bug fixes, while the changelog mentions new features for the Video Player; enhanced layout and playback speed controls.

Android 14-based One UI 6 Beta 3 brings enhanced layout and playback speed controls to the stock Video Player. As part of improving usability, Samsung has grouped buttons with similar functions together. Moreover, the Play/Pause button has been aligned to the center for easier controls in landscape viewing.

The Video Player application adds several video playback speeds (between 0.25x and 2.0x). Ditching the Slider function, the app’s speed controls are now easier to access, thanks to dedicated buttons. Additionally, the Video Player’s performance has been increased for a better user experience.

In the US, Samsung is currently rolling out the third One UI 6 Beta to Galaxy S23 users. The update bears the PDA version number ending with ZWI8 and includes fixes for a number of issues. The same build is available in India, as the second Beta update on Galaxy S23.
