Samsung Galaxy S23 FE won’t miss new features until Android 17!

Today, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S23 FE, with sales starting from tomorrow. Continuing its stunning support, Samsung pledged 4 generations of Android OS updates and 5 years of security patches to the newly released Galaxy S23 FE.

The new Galaxy S23 FE comes with Android 13-based One UI 5.1 out of the box. Starting Android 14, Samsung will deliver major Android updates up to Android 17 to the Galaxy S23 FE consumers. In addition, the device will receive regular security patches until October 2029.

The South Korean tech giant notes in its press release that the new device is designed to last with four generations of OS upgrades and five years of security updates. Users can further enhance longevity by opting for Samsung Care+, a support service for accidental damages, repairs, and more.

No shortage of features

Major Android upgrades arrive once a year, while Samsung gives up to three major upgrades to Galaxy devices every year. Yes, it’s true, three One UI updates arrive on tablets and foldable phones, while regular Galaxy smartphones get two One UI versions every year – x.0 and x.1.

With x.0 version, the company serves a new operating system to the device. This kind of release bring design changes, user interface tweaks and security and privacy features. On the other hand, the x.1 version come with new tools, user friendly features and productivity enhancements.
