Samsung is using the Galaxy S21 Ultra and Galaxy S23 Ultra to broadcast live streams of wildlife around the clock. The Galaxy S23 Ultra is IP68 waterproof and dustproof, has a robust housing, and, with its modern camera technology, is suitable for use in South African terrain.

The Galaxy S20 FE has already proven itself as a live broadcast system in South Africa’s Balule Nature Reserve. The Galaxy S21 Ultra and the new S23 Ultra are now being used to further intensify animal protection in the Balule Nature Reserve using modern technology.

With features like night vision, 200MP camera and 10x optical zoom, the Galaxy S23 Ultra delivers high-quality live recordings day and night. This not only adjusts the image quality of the livestream but also the quality of the screenshots that the virtual rangers can send to headquarters as evidence.

Since 2021, the Wildlife Watch pilot project has been using the live broadcast technology of Galaxy devices so that interested parties can observe wildlife in the Balule Nature Reserve in the Kruger National Park. At the same time, you have the opportunity to take active action against poaching as a virtual ranger.

Anyone who notices dangers or signs of poaching in the live stream can immediately alert the on-site team using the report button. Through the participation of virtual rangers, the protection of the rhinoceros, one of the most endangered animals, has been significantly improved.
