Earlier, UniverseIce shared his suggestion for further improvements in the Camera Assistant app. Interestingly, Samsung Support US acknowledged his feedback and ensured to forward the information to the respective department for review.

In his X post, Ice requested a feature addition in the Camera Assistant that will allow Galaxy users to add custom zoom buttons to the stock camera app. For instance, Galaxy S23 Ultra has 100x zoom camera, while the zoom buttons are 0.5x, 1x, 2x, 3x, 10x, 30x and 100x.

If you want to zoom in on a specified range, you have to take the help of the adjustment slider to get it done. With the proposed custom buttons, Samsung consumers will be able to make their own zoom buttons such as 1.5x, 5x, 20x and so on.

“Hey there. We definitely will forward this information to the dedicated department so your valuable feedback can be provided.” – Samsung Support US

Here’s what Ice’s X post reads:

I would like to make a suggestion that you would like to send to the Samsung community: add a new function in the “Camera Assistant” app to allow users to add three custom magnification buttons. For example, I often use the three focal lengths of 1.5x, 5x, and 20x.

You can set it yourself in the “Camera Assistant”, and then when we use it, just click the corresponding magnification button directly on the camera. In this way, we don’t have to go to the camera to manually set the magnification every time, which is time-consuming and difficult to be accurate.
