Several flagships and mid-range Samsung Galaxy smartphones are currently testing the One UI 6 beta update while others are getting regular software updates. Recently, some Galaxy users may have noticed that their lock screen wallpaper does not change after updating the latest software based on One UI 5.1.1.

According to the information, the issue occurs when the user sets the lock screen wallpaper to a multi-pack and deletes all but one of the images in the pack. The wallpaper and style app, which controls the lock screen wallpaper settings, may not apply the changes properly in this case.

This issue can be resolved by deleting the cache and data of the wallpaper and style app. Through this, you can restore the lock screen wallpaper to the default one and allow the user to change it again. However, this may also erase any customizations or preferences that the user has set in the app.

To clear the cache and data of the wallpaper and style app, you need to open Settings >> Apps >> tap on Filter and Sort icon >> Enable Show system app >> Find Wallpapers and styles and tap on it >> Tap on Storage >> Click on Clear data and then Clear cache.

After clearing the cache and data, restart the device and check if the lock screen wallpaper issue is resolved. If not, you may need to wait for a software update from Samsung that will address this problem. Samsung has announced that they are working on a software update that will improve this issue, so make sure to update your device to the latest version when it becomes available.
