Samsung’s Secret Pact with Google for One UI Revolution: One UI Z (foldable)?

Samsung is strengthening its collaboration with Google to further enhance the foldable experience. The company is said to be working with industry giants and game developers to enhance gaming. Meanwhile, Samsung is secretly working with Google to revolutionize One UI for foldable devices.

According to a report, Samsung is planning to develop a user interface and user experience design specifically for foldable smartphones. At present, all Galaxy mobile devices run One UI, and the report signals that Samsung preps to design foldable specific software skin.

Samsung’s One UI is available on Galaxy devices with different names such as One UI on smartphones and tablets, One UI Core on low-end phones, and One UI Watch on smartwatches. As the foldable market is growing sequentially, there will be a One UI iteration dedicated to foldable devices.

“In addition to games, we are also pursuing a plan to develop user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design specifically for foldable smartphones. To this end, Samsung Electronics is in close consultation with Google, the developer and operator of the Android OS.”

In addition to a foldable-specific software UI/UX, the report also says that the South Korean tech giant is developing customized games for the Galaxy foldable smartphones in collaboration with global game companies such as Epic Games and Krafton.
