Android Auto 10.6 brings a ‘Disconnect’ button in notification shade

Android Auto is getting a new beta update and a handy feature with version 10.6. The latest version of Android Auto is rolling out via the Play Store for beta users. The update does not bring any major changes, but it may include some bug fixes and minor improvements.

However, some users have spotted a new feature that is not tied to the update but seems to be in limited testing. It is a ‘Disconnect’ button that appears in the notification shade of your Android device when you are using Android Auto wirelessly. The button allows you to quickly end a wireless Android Auto session, without having to activate airplane mode or unplug an adapter.

The ‘Disconnect’ button is not available for everyone yet, but it may become more widely accessible in the future. If you want to try it out, you can join the beta program for Android Auto on the Play Store. Alternatively, you can wait for the official release of the feature, which may come with a future update.
