Samsung settles when and where to unveil the Galaxy S24 series
Samsung has reportedly decided to hold its next Galaxy Unpacked event in the US to unveil the Galaxy S24 series in early 2024. Unlike the Galaxy Z5 series, the company is holding the event in Apple’s home ground to solidify the premium image of the “Galaxy S lineup.”
The South Korean tech giant has continued its strategy of releasing the Galaxy S series in San Francisco, USA, and the Galaxy Z series in New York, USA, for several years. However, the ‘Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5’ launch event in July this year was the first Galaxy Unpacked event to be held in Seoul.

Samsung will launch the Galaxy S24 Ultra with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy chip only. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus are likely to be available with the company’s in-house Exynos 2400 in South Korea and Europe and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy in other markets.
The report suggests that the devices will be equipped with 12GB LPDDR5X DRAM, which is more than 4GB larger than Apple’s iPhone 15 Pro lineup. In addition, there will be notable changes in the design such as a nearly flat screen on the Ultra and an angular frame design on the vanilla and Plus models.
