Android Auto users face new connection bug after navigation bar issue is fixed

Android Auto app lets users connect their phones to their car screens and use apps, maps, music, and more. However, some users have faced some frustrating bugs that affect the feature.

One of the bugs that affected some Android Auto users earlier this month was the disappearance of the navigation bar, which was reported by many users on Reddit and Google’s support forums.

Thankfully, Google has confirmed that the bug has been fixed with an app update. Users who experienced the issue should update their Android Auto app and their Google app to version 14.40.33 or higher to resolve it.

But another bug appeared for some Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro users. They could not start Android Auto or got stuck on the setup screens. The bug only affects wired connections, as wireless connections work fine.

Google knows about the bug and is working on it. In addition, the company is also working on connection issues with Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Android Auto.
