Samsung ‘Spam Message Box’ Is Coming to Crush Mobile Phone Spam!

Today, the Korea Internet & Security Agency entered into a business agreement with Samsung to develop and operate malicious text message filtering services. Following this, Samsung plans to introduce a new “Spam Message Box” on Galaxy devices to crush mobile phone spam.

KISA will be responsible for collecting and analyzing data on spam reports. They will also verify the legality of the data before sharing it with Samsung. Based on the data, Samsung will develop service features and establish the operating environment.

As soon as the feature gets developed, the South Korean tech giant may deploy it with a firmware update. Post-implementation of the function, Samsung smartphone users will have access to a Spam Message Box, like spam mail box in email services.

Thanks to the Spam Message Box, Galaxy users will not be immediately exposed to illegal spam. Well, there’s no authentic information about when the feature will be rolled out to consumers. We hope Samsung will rollout the service to Galaxy devices with One UI 6.1 update.
