While Samsung is missing from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 list, the Galaxy S24 series will surely debut the new chipset. Exynos is also returning with the next year’s chipset, while Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chipsets usually perform better than rivals in the Android world.

At Snapdragon Summit 2023, Qualcomm unveiled the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. It will be available with flagship devices from various brands including Samsung throughout the next year. This page compares the key specifications of Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 with its predecessors.

Interestingly, Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon is manufactured on the 4nm process technology. The 8 Gen 1 was also fabricated on 4nm process technology through Samsung Foundry. Due to problems like overheating and efficiency, Qualcomm turned to TSMC for all chipsets.
