Samsung reveals ambitious plans for generative AI in smartphones

Along with Q3 results, Samsung revealed its plans to provide generative AI (artificial intelligence) features for smartphones, starting next year. Today, the company stated that smartphones are the most important access point for AI in the future.

Based on Samsung’s device competitiveness of 1.1 billion units, hybrid AI using technologies such as on-devices, servers, and devices will be developed. In addition, the company evaluated that “on-device generated AI can be precisely tuned to suit the device specs.
