At its 2023 Developer Conference, vivo introduced its self-developed operating system, BlueOS. The company says that BlueOS is its independently developed command operating system for the era of generative AI, and boasts three major aspects:

  1. Inherently smarter
  2. Inherently smoother
  3. Inherently safer

“The vivo Watch3 is the first device that runs BlueOS operating system.”

BlueOS can run smoothly on various devices with a frequency as low as 200Mhz and 32MB of memory, and as high as a frequency of 4GHz + 24GB of memory. However, it may not be installed on vivo phones in the early stage, which means that Funtouch OS/OriginOS will live on.

Galaxy OS by Samsung?

We don’t think Samsung has plans regarding its self-developed operating system. The company is continuously expanding its collaboration with leaders in various areas to refine Galaxy experiences. It had already tried the TizenOS, which was abandoned, at least on phones and smartwatches.
