Fifth One UI 6 Beta rolling out for Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5: Widget animations are back!

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 smartphones have started getting an Android 14-based fifth One UI 6 Beta update. The new update brings bug fixes and improvements to provide a better experience.

The fifth One UI 6 Beta update for Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 can be identified through One UI build versions ending with ZWK5. Users will have to download around 600MB package to install the update.

The update is currently available for beta testers in the UK and South Korea. The Korean tech giant will soon make it available in more markets.

WHAT’S NEW

The new One UI 6 beta update arrives with bug fixes, security improvement, stability optimization, and functional enhancement. It installs the latest Android security patch released in November 2023.

November 2023 security patch addresses 48 CVEs related to the Android operating system, 15 SVEs related to One UI software, and 2 CVEs related to Samsung. In addition, some payment apps will not work after installing the update as well and several stock apps will be updated to the latest available version.

According to the information, the One UI 6 Beta 5 update brings back the widget animations. Now, you can easily use the widget without any issues on your Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 smartphone. To install this update, you just need to open Settings app >> Software Update >> Download and install.
