Google Photos getting 2 new AI features

Google Photos is a popular app that lets you store, organize, and share your photos and videos. But sometimes, your gallery can get messy with similar photos of the same moment, or screenshots and documents that you don’t need to see all the time.

Now, Google Photos is rolling out two new AI-powered features to help you declutter your gallery and keep the focus on your memories. These photos are:

  • Photo Stack
  • Better screenshot and document organization

These features are available in Google Photos on Android and iOS. With these new AI features, Google Photos aims to make your photo gallery more tidy and useful.

Photo Stacks

Photo Stacks will automatically group similar photos that were taken close together and select the best one to represent that moment. You can also change the top pick or modify the stacks according to your preference.

Better screenshot and document organization

Google Photos now smartly organizes your screenshots and documents into separate albums, so you can access them quickly when you need them. You can also set reminders in your calendar from your screenshots, such as a ticket or a flyer for an upcoming event.

Additionally, you can choose to automatically archive your screenshots and documents after 30 days, which will hide them from your main gallery but keep them in their albums.
