Samsung Camera Assistant app v2 update rolling out with new features

Samsung is rolling out a major update to Camera Assistant app. The Good Lock-supported Camera Assistant plugin is getting more useful, thanks to the new v2 update. Not only some new features but the new app version also makes some notable changes to the user interface.

Flagship Galaxy devices running One UI 5.1 or higher are supported for Camera Assistant. The app’s update specifically mentions supported models that are Galaxy S23, S22, S20 and Note 20 series along with S23 FE, Galaxy Z Fold 5/4/3/2 and Galaxy Z Flip 5/4/3 and 1st gen.

Samsung Camera Assistant app v2 update comes with Optical quality crop zoom feature, allowing you to add a dedicated 2x crop zoom shortcut. It also adds the High resolution settings section, which comprises Adaptive Pixel and Upscale digital zoom.

Moreover, there’s a new Distortion correction option for enhanced photography experience. As part of continuous refinements, the Camera Assistant moves Capture speed option to Camera settings’ Advanced intelligence options section.
