WhatsApp is rolling out a feature to filter Status updates
Available to some Beta testers on Android, WhatsApp rolled out a feature to filter and view status updates in a vertical list. Some beta testers may experiment with a new “See all” button to quickly see a vertical list of their status updates.
In this section, some beta testers can access four filters that better categorize their status updates: All, Recent, Viewed, and Muted. The introduction of four new filters for status updates brings several advantages to users, enhancing their overall experience.

Following the Channels feature rollout, various users asked to restore the previous interface in the status updates tab. While the UI is not getting revamped, the arrival of Status Filters allows users to revert to a more familiar and user-friendly vertical list.
All: This filter displays all the status updates from your contacts. It provides users with a feature to quickly catch up on everything their contacts have posted without missing any updates.
Recent: This filter allows users to focus on displaying the most recent status updates. This is particularly beneficial when they want to see the latest status updates from their contacts without scrolling through older updates.
Viewed: it is designed to show status updates that have been already viewed, and it helps users keep track of the content they have previously seen.
Muted: It is specifically useful for managing and viewing the list of muted status updates. This filter allows users to check status muted updates without these updates dominating their recent status updates feed, providing a more focused viewing experience.
