By units, Samsung ranked first with 18.3 percent market share. It’s worth noting that the company is expected to keep its No. 1 position for the 18th straight year in 2023. In particular, Samsung accounted for 62 percent of the premium market that involves TVs priced more than $2,500, led by Neo QLED.

LG, on the other side, led the OLED TV segment. The company shipped 2,036,800 OLED TVs in the first 9 months of this year, accounting for 55 percent of the entire market. LG will likely top the global OLED TV market for the 11th year in 2023.

The company is focusing on ultra-large OLED TVs as demand for premium TVs in developed markets such as North America and Europe increases. It has maintained its lead in the ultra-large OLED TV market with a 60 percent share in the first 9 months of this year.
