Various Galaxy devices have received the Stable One UI 6.0 update so far. Samsung is gradually expanding the update to more and more eligible models. Features aside, Samsung Galaxy devices with Android 14/One UI 6 may be at risk for screen burn-in.

According to reports, it looks like Samsung’s Android 14 One UI 6 software could be missing a crucial feature — screen burn-in protection. While One UI 5 comes with a pixel-shifting feature, the company may have overlooked the feature in the One UI 6 update.

Reddit users (via AndroidAuthority) reporting that the status bar icons are no longer shifting positions on Galaxy devices running One UI 6. A user also shared screenshots of the Calculator app taken on a Galaxy device with One UI 5 and One UI 6.

As burn-in protection is crucial in OLED display phones Samsung should address its lack in One UI 6.0. For better understanding, follow the screenshots below to understand how pixel shifting works and is necessary to prevent text or image outline, fading of colors, and discoloration.
