One UI 6.1 key changes reportedly revealed

Samsung’s One UI 6.1 software will go official with the Galaxy S24 series next year. Meanwhile, a new report talks about the key changes of One UI 6.1 iteration, in which, most of the entries are based on previous leaks and acknowledgments by community moderators.

SFCNation reports that the One UI 6.1 will not only bring new features but also address some of the most frustrating problems. While some Good Lock plugins could get new features and bug fixes, we expect functional improvements for all One UI apps and services.

Samsung is expected to announce the Galaxy S24 series on January 17, 2024 in San Jose, US. In late January, the company could expand the availability to all regions. However, the One UI 6.1’s rollout is likely to happen for older Galaxies in late February or early March.

One UI 6.1 key changes

  1. Samsung moderator confirmed that the One UI 6.1  will fix a long-standing One Hand Operation + issue related to the One Hand Mode function.
  2. Instagram and Samsung reportedly collaborating to bring the Instagram Camera Lockscreen shortcut to Galaxy S24.
  3. The Snapchat Camera shortcut is likely to join the Lockscreen personalization selections in One UI 6.1.
  4. Ultra HDR, which Google launched with Android 14 is expected to debut with Galaxy S24 series.
  5. Good Lock modules; Keys Cafe and ClockFace will get new features and major improvements.
