Here’s how to fix the dynamic lock screen image issue on Samsung phone
If you are using the dynamic lock screen feature on your Samsung Galaxy phone, you might have noticed that some images appear broken when applied to the lock screen. This is a known issue that affects certain images depending on their original quality.
But don’t worry as Samsung has officially shared two easy ways to fix this issue and enjoy the beautiful wallpapers that change every time you turn on your screen.
The first way is to enable the automatic update of the dynamic lock screen settings. This will ensure that the image packages in the currently installed category are updated periodically and broken images are excluded.
To do this, go to Settings >> Wallpapers and styles >> Change wallpaper >> Wallpaper service >> Dynamic lock screen settings >> Automatic update >> Enable (ON).
The second way is to uninstall and reinstall the previously downloaded category image. This will remove the broken images from your device and download the latest ones.
For that, you just need to open Settings >> Wallpaper and style >> Change wallpaper >> Wallpaper service >> Dynamic lock screen settings >> More options icon >> Uninstall >> Select category image and uninstall.
Some users of Samsung devices have encountered an issue where half of the screen appears dark while switching screens. This issue mainly occurs after interactions like closing apps, switching horizontally/vertically, or handling notifications.
Fortunately, the community moderator has shared a temporary solution for fixing the half-screen darkening issue on Samsung devices. He has confirmed that this issue often arises due to improper processing of the screen darkening effect, particularly noticeable after activities such as checking ad pop-ups.
To resolve this issue, Samsung recommends restarting the device as an immediate fix. For that, swipe down from the top of the screen twice to open the Quick Panel >> tap on the power off icon >> select “Restart” to reboot your device.
Further, the moderator mentioned that Samsung is actively developing a software update to permanently fix this issue. Users may soon receive a notification to update their device software.
To update your Galaxy device, navigate to Settings on your device >> select Software Update >> choose Download and Install.
Samsung advises users to update their devices when a software update becomes available to prevent the recurrence of such issues.
