Samsung Galaxy A55 and A35 to get premium metal body

Samsung’s Galaxy A series is one of the most popular smartphone lineups, which offers premium features at affordable prices. The Galaxy A5x models are among the best-selling devices in this series. However, one of the drawbacks of these mid-range phones is their plastic frames, which do not match the premium feel of their flagship. But the good is that the frame material may change with the next series.

According to the tipster @Tech_Reve, Samsung will ditch the plastic frames for the Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A55 in 2024, and replace them with metal frames instead. This will give these devices a more elegant and durable look. It also brings them closer to the design of the premium series.

In addition, the Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A55 are also expected to get some other major upgrades, such as the Infinity-O display with a punch-hole camera, the new Exynos 1480 chipset with AMD RDNA2 GPU, and Android 14 One UI 6.0 out of the box. These devices will also likely receive four years of Android OS updates, as per Samsung’s policy.

Samsung is yet to confirm the launch date of the Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A55. These devices are likely to debut soon after the Galaxy S24 series, which is rumored to launch in January 2024.
