Google Maps for Android Auto adds a useful parking location saver feature

Google Maps is adding a handy feature for Android Auto users who forget where they parked their vehicle. The app now allows you to save your parking location when you reach your destination, which makes it easier to find your vehicle later. This new feature is rolling out to Google Maps for Android Auto users, and you can check the Play Store for updates.

The location saver feature was first introduced in Google Maps for Android and iOS in 2017, but it was not very well-known and required a few taps to activate. Now, the feature is more accessible and visible on the arrival screen when you use Google Maps for Android Auto to navigate to a specific place.

You just need to tap the “save parking location” button and the app will remember where you left your car. The feature also works with your phone, and you will get a reminder the next day about your parking location.
