Galaxy Glass: Samsung’s XR device could launch in the first half of 2024

Apple is set to introduce the Vision Pro XR headset early next year. Meanwhile, Samsung has reportedly accelerated the development of its XR device (Galaxy Glass), with the launch expected to begin in the first half of 2024.

According to the info, Samsung Display recently applied for a new trademark Flex Magic. The trademark description mentions 3D glasses, VR headsets, VR Goggles, VR Glasses and Smart Glasses.

Although patent applications are not directly related to product launches, the industry believes that Samsung’s product disclosure has already made considerable progress.

The release of Samsung’s XR device (Galaxy Glass), which was originally expected to be released at the end of next year, has recently been reported to have been brought forward significantly.

It is estimated that development will be completed and that it may be released as early as the beginning of the year. For Samsung’s XR device, Qualcomm is developing the chipset while Google is in charge of the operating system.
