New Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 update installs December 2023 security patch

After the Galaxy Z Fold 5 smartphone, Samsung has started rolling out a December 2023 security update for the Galaxy Z Flip 5 smartphone. The new update is rolling out in New Zealand and Ukraine.

December 2023 security patch includes over 60 fixes for known security issues, of which 50 are of Google and others of Samsung. These include buffer overflow, AR Emoji, KnoxCustom Service, bootloader, SmartManager, Knox Guard, and Contacts.

Users of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 smartphone are getting a December 2023 security update with One UI build version ending with BWKM or BWL2. The company will soon expand this update to more countries.

It is a gradual rollout so it may take hours or days to reach all models. This update is available for Galaxy Z Flip 5  models running Android 14-based One UI 6.0. You can get the latest update through Settings >> Software Update >> Download and install.
