Samsung has released a new security update for its Galaxy Watch 4 running One UI Watch 5 based on Wear OS 4. Identified via version R870XXU1HWL1, the update is rolling out to users now and promises to improve the stability of the device.

This is the first update that the Galaxy Watch 4 has received since the One UI Watch 5 upgrade. The update does not mention any particular issues that it fixes. It improves the stability of the watch by fixing some known issues to enhance performance.

However, the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic has not received the security update yet but the company will soon make it available. It is an initial rollout so it may take some time to reach all models.

To install the update, users need to open the Samsung Wearable app on their paired smartphone, find their watch, and go to the Software Update section. If the update is available, you can download and install it.
