Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy A55 with Exynos 1480 chipset has now surfaced on Geekbench. The benchmark has also revealed the phone’s performance in single-core and multi-core tests.

Exynos 1480 is a mid-range chipset, which will power select Galaxy phones in 2024. The next year’s Exynos lineup is expected to be equipped with AMD RDNA2-based Xclipse 530 GPU for better gaming performance.

Earlier, the chipset alone made its presence on Geekbench. However, the latest listing now showcases the Galaxy A55 5G running Exynos 1480 processor. It also reveals the interesting GPU choice Samsung’s made.

Talking about performance improvements, they aren’t amazing – a single-core score of 1,127 and a multi-core score of 2,090 is what the A55 managed, whereas the A54 scored about 1,108 and 2,797, respectively.

Previous reports indicate that the Galaxy A55 will have a 6.5-inch FHD+ 120 Hz OLED screen, a 50 MP main camera, and support for 25W wired charging (with no charger in the box).
