One UI 7 (Android 15) may introduce iPhone-like Battery Health feature

Android 14 rollout is underway for Samsung devices, while Google is already working on the next version. Android 15 is expected to come with an iPhone-like Battery Health menu, which Galaxy devices may get with One UI 7 update.

This year, the Android 14 brought new APIs for tracking battery health. The latest QPR2 Beta build of Android 14 includes battery options and a hidden Battery Health page.

It suggests Android 15 may further enhance the Battery Health section for Pixel phones. The company also working on features such as reading battery serial numbers to differentiate between legitimate and third-party batteries.

Batteries start to lose their health after a specific time or charging cycle. The lower the battery’s health, the less performance it will deliver. With Battery Health menu, you will get an idea of time to replace your phone’s battery.

One UI 7 will be the next big upgrade Samsung will bring to Galaxy devices with Android 15 later this year. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S24 series is set to introduce new One UI 6.1 version, powered by Android 14 next month.
