Samsung’s One UI 6 comes with a lot of new features and improvements to its Galaxy devices. One of the most notable changes is the integration of the Recycle Bin function for My Files, Gallery, and Voice Recordings. This means that you can easily manage your deleted files from different apps in one place, and restore or delete them as you wish.

The Recycle Bin feature is always on and cannot be turned off arbitrarily. It allows you to recover files that you accidentally deleted, or free up some storage space by permanently deleting files that you no longer need.

Here is how you can use the Recycle Bin feature in One UI 6.0:

Access Recycle Bin From My Files App

To access the Recycle Bin, open the My Files app and tap on the Recycle Bin icon at the bottom right corner. You will see a list of files that you deleted from My Files, Gallery, and Voice Recordings. You can sort them by name, date, size, or type.

Delete or restore specific files from the My Files app

To restore or delete specific files, tap on the Edit button at the top right corner, and select the files that you want to restore or delete. Then, tap on the Restore or Delete button at the bottom of the screen. You can also select all files by tapping on the checkbox at the top left corner.

Delete all files in the Recycle Bin at once

To delete all files in the Recycle Bin at once, tap on the More button (three vertical dots) at the top right corner, and select Empty. This will permanently delete all the files in the Recycle Bin, and you will not be able to recover them.

Access Recycle Bin From the Samsung Gallery or Voice Recorder

You can also check, restore, or delete files from the Gallery and Voice Recording apps. To do so, open the app and go to the Menu (three horizontal lines) at the top left corner. Then, select Recycle Bin and follow the same steps as above.

You can also access the Recycle Bin from Settings >> Device Care >> Storage Management >> Recycle Bin >> My Files.

Keep in mind that deleted files will remain in the Recycle Bin for 30 days. After that, they will be automatically and permanently deleted. So, make sure to restore any files that you want to keep before they are gone.

The Recycle Bin feature in One UI 6.0 is a handy tool that helps you manage your deleted files with ease. It also helps you save storage space and avoid losing important files by mistake.
