Samsung aims to fuel ISOCELL Camera with On-sensor AI technology
Samsung’s next-gen Galaxy flagships will be powered by On-device AI technology. It will help the phones run AI tasks such as generation, creation, and translation without being connected to the cloud. Samsung and SK Hynix plan to fuel On-sensor AI into camera sensors.

Besides Samsung, SK Hynix is also pushing On-sensor AI to capture new AI-specific demands and increase its market share. Both companies are making strides in commercializing “On-sensor AI” technology for image sensors, to challenge the market leader, Japan’s Sony.
AI into ISOCELL
Samsung’s new 200MP image sensor, which could debut with Galaxy S24 Ultra, boasts an advanced zoom feature called Zoom Anyplace. This function uses AI technology for automatic object tracking during close-ups.
The company has set a long-term business goal to commercialize “Humanoid Sensors” capable of sensing and replicating human senses, with a road map to develop image sensors that can capture even the invisible by 2027.
SK hynix
At the “SK Tech Summit 2023”, SK hynix revealed its progress in developing On-sensor AI technology. This technology embeds an image sensor onto an AI chip, processing data directly at the sensor level, unlike traditional sensors that relay image information to the CPU for computation and inference.
Samsung Food app is getting a new update with version 2.23 for One UI devices. It brings some useful improvements and new features to enhance user experience.
The fresh update adds a new feature that lets you customize the display of nutritional information within the Meal Plan section. You can now hide or show this data based on your needs and preferences. This feature provides a more personalized meal-planning experience.
Besides this new feature, the update also includes bug fixes and performance enhancements. It resolves issues reported by users to optimize the app’s overall performance. Overall, the update makes the app more reliable and stable.
To install the latest update, you just need to follow a few steps. First, open the Samsung Galaxy Store on your device and search for “Samsung Food” in the search bar. Samsung is expanding the July 2024 security update to Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus, and Galaxy S24 Ultra in Canada. This update is already accessible to users in the US, India, Brazil, and Europe.
This update includes the July 2024 security patch that helps protect user data and improve the overall performance of the device. It makes your Galaxy S24 device more stable, secure, and reliable.
According to the official details, the update fixes 33 Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures related to components like One UI Home, System UI, Secure Folder, and more, further enhancing device security. In addition, Google addresses 4 critical and 21 high-level vulnerabilities in Android.
The Korean tech giant is rolling out the July 2024 security update for the Galaxy S24 series in Canada through One UI build versions mentioned below.

To install the update on your smartphone, you just need to navigate toward your Galaxy Settings. Once done, visit the Software update tab and hit the Download and Install button. Let your device connect to the OTA server and allow it to download the new firmware, if there’s any.
Notably, the update is based on Android 14 and One UI 6.1. However, the company is also preparing the One UI 7 Beta and major One UI 6.1 update for the Galaxy S24 series. Samsung is soon going to release these updates for Galaxy devices. Stay tuned to know more.
