Samsung Galaxy S24’s AI Translation to work beyond One UI 6.1: iOS, Android

Galaxy AI fuels insane translation capability into Samsung’s upcoming flagship phones. Last month, Samsung introduced AI Live Translate Call, which will come with the Galaxy S24 series. In a new report, NikkeiAsia revealed some key details about this upcoming feature.

According to the report, Samsung’s AI Live Translate Call feature will initially support languages with “the most users,” such as English and Spanish. However, the company will sequentially bring support to more languages such as Korean and Japanese.

Interestingly, Samsung might not be limiting this service between Galaxy devices. This translation feature will work when talking to someone using a non-Samsung phone. It means Apple’s iPhone may also be able to work with AI Live Translate Call alongside Android phones.

Previous leaks revealed that One UI 6.1 will have some great AI features such as image generation, tone adjustments for text, AI-generated wallpapers, and the ability to summarize notes. Still, we have to wait until the official unveiling to see what more Samsung has in its bag to begin 2024.
