In an internal New Year’s message, the Deputy Chairman and Rotating Chairman of Huawei disclosed expectations of over CNY 700 billion ($98.5 billion) in revenue in 2023. The company’s revenue in 2022 was CNY 642 billion ($93.5 billion), with a 9% year-over-year growth expected this year.

Earlier, Huawei introduced the Mate 60, which helped it gain momentum in the smartphone market. Despite tough restrictions imposed by the US, this smartphone debuted Huawei’s in-house Kirin 9000s processor, which shocked the industry.

Reuters reported that Huawei’s Mate 60 managed to silent the thunder of Apple’s iPhone 15 lineup in China. Giving an additional boost to local manufacturers like Huawei, Chinese authorities gradually and silently barred the US from smartphones made by Apple and Samsung.

“After years of hard work, we’ve managed to weather the storm. And now we’re pretty much back on track,” said Ken in the New Year’s message.
