Some Samsung Galaxy users have encountered an issue with registering their fingerprints on their devices. The issue seems to be caused by the screen mode setting, which affects the brightness of the display and the fingerprint sensor.

The Korean tech giant has acknowledged the issue and offered a solution for users. The company advises users to change the screen mode from Natural to Vivid before registering their fingerprints.

To change the screen mode, you just need to follow the steps mentioned below.

  • Go to Settings.
  • Click on Display.
  • Tap on Screen Mode.
  • Select Vivid and tap Apply.

After changing the screen mode, users should be able to register their fingerprints without any difficulty. Samsung says that this is a temporary solution and the company will release a software update to fix the issue soon.

The fingerprint recognition issue affects some of the latest models from Samsung, such as the Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy A34, and Quantum 4.
