Telegram January 2024 update

Telegram has released the January 2024 update with version 10.5.0, which improves its voice and video call features as well as the message deletion animation. This update also enhances the capabilities of the bot platform.

The new update of Telegram is available for download on the App Store and Google Play Store. Users can also update their desktop and web versions from the official website.

WHAT’S NEW IN TELEGRAM JANUARY 2024 UPDATE

Upgraded Calls:

The update has revamped the user interface for voice and video calls, which are end-to-end encrypted and available on every platform. Telegram has added new animations and beautiful backgrounds that change dynamically based on the call’s status: ringing, active, or ended. It also consumes fewer resources, which means it saves battery and runs better on older devices.

Telegram claims that it has also fixed hundreds of bugs and interface glitches and that it has improved call quality. The company promises more enhancements to connection and audio quality in 2024.

Thanos Snap Effect when Deleting Messages

Another eye-catching feature of the update is the new vaporize effect that plays whenever a user deletes any message. This effect was first introduced on iOS last month as an experimental feature for auto-deleted messages. Now, it is available on both iOS and Android for any message deletion.

Epic Bot Update: Reactions and Much More

The update also adds new features for bots, such as the ability to react to messages, quote messages, send replies and more. These features make bots more interactive and useful for users.

Google enhances Android Auto with Tesla’s NACS charger support

Google Android Auto NACS support

Google has kicked off a new update for Android Auto, which makes it easier for electric vehicles (EVs) to find charging stations using Tesla’s NACS. This update is available on Play Store with version 12.9.143804.

The fresh update is currently rolling out as in beta version through the Play Store’s beta program, and it will reach more users in the coming weeks. It is especially available for non-Tesla EVs, which can now easily locate NACS-compatible charging stations.

Last year, Android Auto introduced an “Electric vehicle settings” menu. It helps users navigate based on different charging types, including J1772, CCS (Combo 1 and 2), Type 2, and CHAdeMO. However, it didn’t initially support the NACS standard.

Now, the NACS support has been added with the latest update. It lets Google Maps help them find the nearest charging stations. This is especially useful for drivers of non-Tesla EVs, as Tesla cars do not support Android Auto.

This update comes at a time when General Motors has also approved an NACS adapter for its electric vehicles. This means that drivers can select both NACS and the CCS plug that comes built into their vehicles.

Previously, Google redesigned the UI for Google Assistant on Android Auto, which brought noticeable changes in its design during voice interaction. The new look of Google Assistant is quite similar to Apple’s Siri interface on CarPlay.
