Samsung Galaxy phones to offer ChatGPT AI alongside Google Assistant
Google Assistant is the default assistant app on Android smartphones. Samsung Galaxy phones provide another built-in option – Bixby. Meanwhile, a new development indicates that OpenAI’s ChatGPT AI platform is preparing to be an alternative to Google Assistant.
ChatGPT is accessible to all people through OpenAI’s website. Earlier, the company released an official app on both App Store and Play Store for iOS and Android, respectively. Taking this experience to a whole new level, ChatGPT AI is testing the ability to be available in the way Google Assistant is.

In their APK teardown, folks over at AndroidAuthority discovered that ChatGPT version 1.2023.352 added a new activity as part of preparing for a notable feature. When manually enabled, an overlay appears on the screen with a swirling animation when using the in-app voice chat mode.
This overlay appears over other apps and doesn’t take up the entire screen like the in-app voice chat mode. This indicates that you could talk to ChatGPT from any screen by invoking this assistant in the future. Well, when tested, the animation never finished and the activity promptly closed itself.
